Waltham Abbey's Capershots has failed to recover from the abysmal recent weather, with their website last weekend reporting that over 18,000 gallons of water had been pumped from their car park alone.
Therefore it's little surprise that with the additional rain overnight that today's Ryman League North tie is off.
Justin Gardner, though, has already arranged a friendly for his Millers side today in the likely event that the game with Waltham Abbey was going to be postponed.
They will now face Essex Senior League side Eton Manor on a 3G pitch in Beckton, where Aveley played out a 1-1 draw with Barkingside last weekend.
A short report on that match will follow later this afternoon with kick off at 11am, and once we get word of the rearranged date for the Waltham Abbey game it will be announced via the club's Twitter feed.
