Met Police 1, Aveley 1
A LATE Martin Tuohy effort ensured Aveley game away from Met Police with a share of the spoils.
Millers dominated for most of the match, but failed to make the most of their opportunities.
Gareth Street saw his early shot deflected wide for a corner after good play from Neil Richmond.
Nicky Humphries almost deflected Junior Dadson’s into his own net, but Richmond was to come closest as his shot from close range hit the post and rebounded into the fortunate hands of Mo Maan.
Met Police looked more of a threat in the second half and ultimately took the lead when Craig Wilkins converted from close range after Gary Drewitt’s pull back.
Aveley looked threatening on occasions but failed to make the most of their opportunities, until late on when with the best move of the match Petrit Elbi played in Tuohy and the striker slotted home.
