In this relegation battle at Parkside, Aveley had only suffered one loss in their last eight home games, while Enfield Town had been winless on the road for five games since their midweek victory over Tonbridge Angels back in December. However, a second-half header from Youngs turned the tables.

In the final minute of added on time, Forster denied Nathan Carlyle's close-range header, and Jason Ring's header from the resulting corner went wide.

Enfield Town secured a vital win, closing the gap on 21st-placed Welling United.

Aveley's story remains the same over the last ten games: plenty of chances but punished for not taking them.
