Both teams had to deal with the horrendous conditions throughout the match.
But the Millers again should be more than satisfied with their performance. On the chances created, it was probably a fair result as both keepers had really nothing to do, but on the balance of total play, Aveley maybe could've come away with all three points.
The Millers started the first half well, Kyle Asante and David Fallah were both denied well by last ditch tackles from Bristow and Clemo.
The hosts had back to back corners but the latter was headed out to Tom Fletcher but his wild effort flashes past the post.
Cheshunt's left back was then in the book for an accidental foul on Andres Tobon, but he couldn't really not be booked for it on this occasion.
Aveley had a guilt edge chance after great build up play. Andres Tobon was a problem all afternoon, his cross field ball picked out David Fallah who controlled superbly, his shot came back to Kyle Asante 14 yards out, but he couldn't direct his shot on target.
Only four minutes later the play off chasers Cheshunt. A superb free-kick was nodded in at the near post by Dave Kendall. The goal at the time seemed really harsh on the Millers having been the more dominant team. [0-1].
A big incident in the came as the goal went in, Jason Hallett seemed to get stuck and may have twisted his knee, which is unfortunate especially for the rest of the season.
Liam Hope for Cheshunt saw his outrageous effort go wide of the goal. Up the other end Andres Tobon saw his free-kick comfortably saved by James May.
HALF TIME | Cheshunt 1-0 Millers
The wind and rain seemed to effect the early stages of the second half as neither team could really gain full control of the affair.
David Fallah and Abs Seymour saw there efforts not hit the back of the net. Fallah's shot cleared away a few yards in front of the line, whilst Seymour's long ranger was comfortable for May.
Justin Gardner showed his hand with Kyle Asante and Jack Edwards coming off and replaced with Michael Pindy and Arian Retkoceri.
The substitution of Michael Pindy was almost perfect, the ball somehow didn't find its way in from the head of Perry Dunn and acrobatics of David Fallah, it fell to Pindy at the back post but his headed effort came back off the crossbar.
Ruddock Yala and Abs Seymour were again next to have a go. Ruddock saw his headed effort go just wide of the right hand post, whereas Abs corner was cleared off the line after James May missed it.
Aveley's persistence was finally awarded on the 81st minute. Millers third substitute Olumbe Olliwatimilehain was taken down just outside the left hand side of the box and a free-kick was awarded. Andres Tobon stepped up and he didn't shape up to cross it, and that proved when he brilliantly found the far top corner. [1-1].
Cheshunt stepped it up a little bit but they just couldn't really create those moments to win the match.
The Ambers however did have a penalty appeal turned down, but it felt as if Perry Dunn was the one impeded rather than the other way around.
Late on Andres Tobon was awarded a yellow card after "failure to allow the restart of the match" from a Cheshunt free kick.
However the scoreline stayed as it was and both sides had to settle for the point, with Hornchurch drawing and Dereham Town losing, a point that could go a long way for the Ambers.
For the Millers however it may feel like two points dropped, but another superb performance against a team who are in the play-off chasing pack.
