We made the trip over The Thames to take on Cray Wanderers for what was our third league game in seven days. After victories at home to Canvey Island, away to Folkestone The Millers looked to make it three for three, and after second half goals from Fletcher Hubbard and a brace by Toby Aromolaran, Aveley secured that feat.
The Millers started with a new goalkeeper on loan from Championship side Norwich City in the name of Rylee Mitchell and he was tested inside 20 minutes with a smart save tipping it round the post from close range. Former Aveley player Alex Hernandez went in behind one-on-one for Cray Wanderers, but Mitchell again was equal to it making the save.
On the hour mark Aveley took the lead through loanee Fletcher Hubbard grabbing his first for the club since joining from Braintree Town. Ollie Peters slipped through a ball to Louie Kudiabor who found Fletcher, Hubbard ran towrds goal and fired in an effort across the keeper and into the bottom right hand corner of the goal. Cray Wanderers 0-1 Aveley.
Rylee Mitchell was then called into action, Cray got in down the by-line and centralled the ball, it looks like a tap in but Mitchell flew across his goal tokeep the ball out and keep Aveley ahead.
Aveley then secured the win with two quick fire goals both coming from Toby Aromolaran. The first to double Aveley's lead, Toby get slipped in on goal and rounds the Cray keeper before slotting home for his first for the club since joining. Cray Wanderers 0-2 Aveley.
Just two minutes later and Toby grabbed his second and our third goal. Jesse Nwabueze done well in the box and won the ball back, it landed to Toby who clinically swivelled and fired into the goal. Cray Wanderers 0-3 Aveley.
Full Time: Cray Wanderers 0-3 Aveley.
