An overcast afternoon was not helped by one of the eight floodlight pylons being out of action.
In a pulsating game The Millers took the lead twice only to be pegged back before scoring the winner with ten minutes to go, thus preserving their own unbeaten record and consigning Brentwood to their first league defeat of the season.
Garry Skerritt opened the scoring after six minutes when Joao Carlos provided a low cross to the near post, the ball looping up and past Billy McMahon in the Brentwood goal. Joel Barnett then got in an excellent high bouncing shot on the angle that shaved the left-hand post.
Sherwin Stanley had a good chance to send the home side in level at the break but with only James Marrable to beat he sliced his shot wide of the target. Brentwood got off to a flyer in the second half, Steve Wareham equalizing for the hosts within one minute of the re-start.
With one hour on the clock Millers once again took the lead. A short range cross to the far post found Skerritt who firmly headed in to the roof of the net from 5 yards out. The lead was short lived however as Stanley took advantage of a slip by Marrable to calmly slot home from the edge of the area with 65 minutes gone.
Former home striker Sean Thomas was introduced in the 70th minute. Ten minutes later he lifted a through ball over McMahon for what proved to be the match-winning goal.
Millers finished the afternoon as the only unbeaten team in the Ryman League and one of only four unbeaten teams in steps 1-4 of the pyramid.
