Millers made a bright start, Dadson crossing to Carlos who fired home after just 7 minutes. Johnson doubled the lead five minute later, collecting the ball from Chris Thomas and slotting past the stranded Harris. Chances galore came for Millers, Dadson and Carlos going close on several occasions. Hillingdon were mostly forced to shoot from distrance but rarely found the target.
Millers continued to dominate in the second half. Thomas’ hooked volley made it three after 47 minutes, before seeing his diving header hit the post, and a goal ruled out for offside. Steven Midega pulled one back for the visitors with 75 minutes gone. Substitute Sean Thomas found the inside of the near post three minutes later to round off a deserved victory for Aveley.
