Another superb performance from the Millers as a hat-trick from Alex Akrofi and goals from Jason Raad and George Sykes helped the Millers to a 5-1 victory over Soham Town Rangers to claim another three vital points.

The visitors did start better than us and should've taken the lead as Matty Allan had a shot from inside the box deflected by his own teammate Sam Mulready which landed into the arms of David Hughes. Moments later Harry Gibbs did well to clear the ball off the line when the visitors looked like they scored.

Soham then had a dangerous free-kick which came in from the right hand side, met by the head of Groves who flicked it wide of the left hand post.

After that early spell we dominated the game, Jason Raad had a chance from a free-kick after George Sykes was fouled but the effort ws just over the bar. James Goode was so close to scoring his first for the club and our first of the afternoon but his fizzing header was kept out well by Josh Pope.

Just before the half hour mark and the scoring was opened, Josh Pope went to clear the ball out under some pressure, it hit George Sykes who laid it on a plate for Alex Akrofi who finished brilliantly with his left foot into the roof of the net. Aveley 1-0 Soham.

A couple minutes later we doubled our lead. George Sykes crossed to Alex Akrofi who was denied by a great Pope save, but Jason Raad was on the spot to tap home at the far post. Aveley 2-0 Soham.

Just before half time we almost added our third of the game, but a lovely outside of the right foot finish from Alex Akrofi was ruled out for offside.

the second half started off well and the buffer what was needed was achieved within five minutes. A ball from Connor Witherspoon played through George Sykes who latched onto it and calmly slotted past the keeper with his left. Aveley 3-0 Soham.

We almost soonafter scored our fourth of the game through a delightful flick from James Goode, but a fingertip save from Josh Pope denied us.
