He began his career at Kelvedon Hatch in the Essex Olympian League and impressed, winning a number of personal accolades as he found the net 16 times in 28 matches to earn his move to the Hornchurch Stadium.
In his first season for Hornchurch, George featured 43 times in all comps in the 2018/19 season, where they finished 15th in their first season back in the Isthmian Premier League. In the 2019/20 season, George made a further 38 appearances for the Urchins, with Hornchurch third before the campaign was cut short due to the pandemic. George’s performances saw him have trials at Crystal Palace and Reading, and in July 2020, he secured a deal with full-time Dagenham & Redbridge.
In his first season with Dagenham & Redbridge, George made 26 appearances, against the likes of Wrexham, Sutton United, and Yeovil Town, and scoring against Solihull Moors in a 3-2 victory. In 2021/22, George featured a further 15 times until his season was cut short through injury, Saunders still scored twice against Chesterfield and Wealdstone.
George made his comeback halfway through the 2022/23 season and made 21 appearances, with a goal against Altrincham. At the beginning of the 2023/24 season, George re-joined Hornchurch and was a major player helping The Urchins win the Isthmian Premier League title with 100 points. George featured a further 34 times for them in the National League, helping them to a top ten finish.
