We are proud to announce plans to install a statue/sculpture to our grounds at Barracks Lane.
Plans have been submitted & accepted by the King George the V Trust and work to start commissioning the piece will commence immediately.

Local artist & amateur sculptor Alan Lloyd was approached with a design approved by the committee to honour Club Captain George Tomkins achievements during his unbeaten season.

Avonmouth Designate Chair’ Grant ‘Ken’ Britton said, “This will be a great addition to the club grounds, we aim to continue to improve the facilities at Barracks Lane taking inspiration from local professional grounds like Ashton Gate. George has worked tirelessly through the pandemic to keep his record in tact and we can’t think of anyone more deserving”.

The statue should be finished by the 2021/22 season and will be installed in a prime location to welcome members and visitors in to the ground...
