It is with great sadness that Avonvale RFC announces the untimely passing of Mark Allen who is believed to have had a heart attack at his home on Saturday 8th June. Those who knew Mark will remember a larger than life character who was always willing to help others and was a joy to be with both on and off the pitch. Mark was a past Hon. Treasurer for the club and played at prop for many years including the 2018/19 season where he played his last game for the cub on our recent tour to Shrewsbury. Mark will be greatly missed by all his friends at “The Vale”. Our deepest condolences go out to his family and friends at this very sad time. Details of Mark’s funeral will be communicated once they have been finalized.
