The boys ran and ran today on very big pitches. Without the luxury of substitutes the team struggled to keep pace in the second half of our second match. But even with heavy legs the team executed some lovely passing moves and created shooting opportunities. We were very proud of their performance.
The first match was a close affair. I was very impressed with the passing moves and willingness of the players to pass to others in better positions. Brilliant chaps!
Kenzie was his bullish best, taking vicious corners and combining well with Sean and Szymon . He made crucial blocks in our second match when playing in defence.
Luca was brave and solid in goal and zig zagged his way down the flanks. His pace and trickery was a real weapon for the team today. Luca and Christian combined to pull off a miraculous goal line save in our second match.
Christian played in midfield, defence and as striker. Christian’s energy was boundless and he exchanged good passes with his team mates in and around the opponent’s box. Christian was a great captain.
Roman had magic laces today, they seemed to come undone after every sprint! However, he was on hand to fire in a great goal following good work from Kenzie . Roman is gaining more match experience every week.
Euan played in goal, defence and midfield. He shot on sight today and had 3 shots in our second match that could easily have snuck under the diving goalie.
Sean broke up play and was dependable in midfield and defence. Sean works well with his team mates and was vert unselfish today. His tireless display for 45mins meant he also played in goal in our final half and did that really well too.
Szymon is a skillful player and hunted down lost causes. Szymon often won the ball, performed a drag back and moved forward. Great for the fans to watch.
Goals today:
Kenzie x 2, Luca x 1, Roman x 1, Szymon x 1
JAW Building Services Players of the Match:
