When asked who was the hardest puncher in the game, without a seconds hesitation "Julian White"
George Chuter

Last night Aylestone Athletic RFC and the Old Horse, of London Road, hosted an evening with Leicester Tigers and England legend George Chuter.

Hosted by our very own Graham Norton, Dr Andrew Johnstone, George gave us an interesting insight to his experiences over 15 years within the professional game. From his early days with Saracens, right through to domestic and international success with Tigers and England, and his transformation thereafter into a corporate Guru, George was entertaining and insightful throughout.

Topics covered included his thoughts on Austin Healey (yes, he’s a dick, but apparently is a brilliant dick and will do anything for you), Julian White (warning, don’t ever get punched by Julian White), Martin Johnson, Brian Ashton, Dean Richards, Geordan Murphy (George’s choice for most talented rugby player of all time), Andy Goode (not a fan), and many many more.

Well done to the 40, or so, club members and associates who turned up, and thank you to the Old Horse and Everards for hosting and the buffet.

It was a wonderful evening with a wonderful rugby club.
