Home Victory sees team beginning to gel nicely

I'm afraid the match report is slightly curtailed version as I only saw one of the the tries, but something that is becoming very apparent from both the scoreline and what I saw in the last 10 minutes is that our 1st XV is really starting to gel. The intensity was good for all of about 15 mins of the game, and when issues arise the team is more likely now than at any time this season to pull together and work out a resolution rather than allowing their heads to drop and their focus to be lost.

The tries were scored by Jack Whitmore, Jack Venning (apparently a very good wingers try), Harry Love, two from Ed Webb, and a final try from Sam Grange - kyle Sargent bagged 2 conversions. That one I saw and it has started with a great crash run from Kyle that saw him have to leave the field with a second deadleg. The continuation of that attack ended with a lineout. From there the ball came out and was crashed in by Laurance Walters, then by the replacement centre. The forwards then recycled the ball twice and Sam Grange scored from close range. It was very clinical, and illustrated the aforementioned improvements perfectly.

From 1 through to 15, plus Huw Dann who came on after Jack Whitmore took a bad knock to his pelvis, the team put in an excellent performance that has seen the team move back to the top of the league table. Granted the teams below us have games in hand, but our very tight squad is beginning to show great signs of potential to do very well in this new, higher league.

More of the same next week boys. The rest of the club (and supporters) are 100% behind you.

Well done, and H Z B!!!
