Badshot Lea returned to winning ways at Chessington & Hook, with their third CCL victory in four games.Baggies Manager Trevor Norris changed his starting line-up from Tuesday's 0-4 reversal against Ash United, and earned three points against a robust Chess side. Following some early pressure, the visitors were awarded a penalty on six minutes for handball. James Pilgrim stepped forward but his spot kick was saved by the Chess keeper Mark Daniels. However Jack Howard was alert to the rebound, and duly despatched the ball into the net. The Baggies had several chances to increase their lead, including a narrow angled shot from Rob Parrott, after the home keeper Daniels dropped a cross from Jack Howard. Continued pressure earned the visitors a second when MOTM Nathan Connolly stayed on his feet after a rugby style challenge from keeper Daniels. Connolly coolly played the ball to Elliott Amadieu, who slotted home from eight yards, for his Baggies debut goal. In the second period, Badshot Lea found themselves outnumbering the home side going forward. One occasion resulted in a Connolly debut goal for The Lea, when he was played in by Rob Parrott to drive home from twenty yards. A productive day for The Baggies, who visit Bedfont Sports on Tuesday 1st April, kickoff 7.45 pm.
