First team manager Jamie Milligan launches an appeal to boost the playing budget for the 20/21 Season.

I’m on the brink of building possibly the strongest squad seen at Bamber Bridge in years but we just need that little bit of help
- Jamie Milligan, BBFC Manager

Due to the impact of the global Covid-19 pandemic, the football club’s income streams have taken a severe hit over the last 6 months. Although the club is slowly returning to operation following lockdown, and fans are able to return to matches, there is still a huge funding gap which has meant the playing budget for 2020/21 has been significantly reduced.

With restrictions likely to be in place for a significant part of the coming season, the club are appealing to supporters to ‘Boost The Budget.

Launching the appeal, first team manager Jamie Milligan said…..

“We are appealing to supporters to donate what they can to help us boost the playing budget for the coming season. Due to the impact of the pandemic on the club, our playing budget has been significantly reduced.

Every year we rely on the income from our pre-season games, in particular the Preston North End friendly to fund a large part of budget for the season. Having lost this and with the reduced capacity in the ground for games, the club has had no choice but to reduce our playing budget.

The response to the supporter run crowd-funder was amazing with over £6500 being raised. This has enabled the club to survive over the summer, and to cover some of the additional costs associated with re-opening the ground and clubhouse in a Covid-safe way. Without those generous donations I‘m not sure the club would still exist this season.

Hopefully supporters will be able to spare a few pounds to help this new appeal, although I appreciate this is a very difficult time for many people.

All donations, however small will help us to build a team that the supporters deserve.”

Online donations can be made here: Boost The Budget Appeal Donations

All online donations of £10 or more made online by 30/11/2020 will be entered in to a free prize draw to win a signed first-team shirt.

Donations can also be made in the clubhouse.

Thank you for your support.
