This Saturday (25 April) the club should have been welcoming Hyde United to Irongate for the final game of the 2019/2020 Northern Premier League Season. Due to lockdown and the termination of the season this game can no longer take place, so fans are being invited to take part in 'virtual' match day in aid of the club's Covid-19 fundraiser.
It will be a trip down memory lane for fans as they can revisit a sunny Thursday night in June 1996 when the Czech Republic National team, featuring the likes of Pavel Nedved, Karel Poborsky and Patrik Berger visited Irongate for a pre European Championship friendly.
The full 90 minutes of the game will be streamed via the club Facebook page from 3pm on Saturday (www.facebook.com/bamberbridgefc)
Supporters are invited to grab a pie and a drink, and take their seat in the VIP stand (their sofa) and join the virtual match day.
The game is free to watch, but donations (eg cost of a drink or a pie) are being encouraged via the club's fundraising page (www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/bamberbridgefc)
