George Hodgson looks ahead to Wednesday's semi final.

This group of players can reach high performances and they know they are fully capable of matching any team on their day.
- Mick Taylor, BBFC Manager.

Bamber Bridge face Colne at Leyland's County Ground on Wednesday evening, with a place in the Lancashire FA Challenge Trophy final at stake.

Micky Taylor's men make the short trip, to face a side they have already beaten in the Integro League Cup earlier this season.

A place at Bolton Wanderers' 29,000 seater University of Bolton Stadium awaits the winners, who will face the winner of Southport vs Ashton United.

But the Brig manager is under no illusions as to the task that faces his side tomorrow and is preparing as much as possible.

"We will train tonight as semi-final preparation continues," said Micky T. "It's not everyday you get a chance to play, with the rewards being a place in a cup final.

"We're hoping to grab that amazing opportunity with both hands.

Brig have already tasted cup heartache, missing out on a place in the semi-final of the Integro League Cup, and Taylor believes his players can use that feeling as motivation.

He said: "Belper was a disappointment of course to everyone, but that game has long-gone now

"This group of players can reach high performances and they know they are fully capable of matching any team on their day.

"We are all hoping to book our place in the final at Bolton."

A 5-2 win away at Daisy Hill earlier in the competition was followed by a statement 1-0 win at local rivals Chorley.

And another away win booked Brig's place in Wednesday's semi-final, with the lads running out 4-1 winners at Prestwich Heys.

It is arguably the biggest game of the season so far and a game both sides won't want to be on the losing end of.

This Brig side does tend to rise to the big occasion, but everyone at the club will know they'll have to be at their best to beat a well-drilled Colne outfit.

Kick-Off on Wednesday is at 7:45pm at the County Ground, Thurston Road, Leyland.
