The club have this evening confirmed the signing of a further two players ready for the new season.

First we welcome back another returning player in Gary Pett. The versatile attacking player is re-joining Brig after a stint with Squires Gate.

Pett, 30, was briefly part of the squad when Brig got promoted from the Evostik North in 2017-18 and scored 1 goal in 1 appearance.

Manager Joey Collins spoke on the signing of Pett, “Gary gives us a different option in attack with his physical attributes as well as his technical ability. A big athletic frame gives us another dimension and after beating competition for his signature we are hoping for him to help us this season”

Joining Gary in the Brig dressing room will be ex Barrow, York City, Stockport and Kidderminster attacking player Danny Pilkington.

Joey Collins spoke of his delight of the signing,

“managing to sign someone of Danny’s previous experience playing Football League, and National League football is a huge coup for the club. He was our first signing just days after the season finished and we cannot wait to get him up and running with us.”

Pilkington, 29, said “I cannot wait to get started now after a little break. After speaking with a few other clubs, it was the management team here that convinced me to sign. I also used to play with Dan Wisdom and he spoke nothing but positive about the facilities, training and lads so I am buzzing to meet up with everyone”

Please welcome Danny and Gary to Bamber Bridge FC
