We’re starting the rugby season with a bang

With less than a week to go, it is time to announce some more super exciting news!
That’s right, next Saturday (9th sept 2023) we will be hosting a combined London Fire Brigade and Essex Fire and Rescue Services team to play against our senior squad. Kick off for this will be 15:00. This will follow a match played by our junior squad who will kick off at 13:00.
From 14:00 Jumping Jacks inflatables will have bouncy castles, an inflatable slide, and an obstacle course for you to tackle. There is also going to be facepainting, perfect for the kids, or get yourself an England Flag ready to watch England’s opening world cup game at 20:00 on the outdoor cinema screen.
Also, during the day CP Performance will have a couple of strongman challenges for you to try your hand at, with prizes for the winners including two months FREE membership to their BEStrong training class, a BEStrong Hoody and a BEStrong T-shirt.
What’s more, we are fortunate enough to have ‘The Naked Sausage’ come down to supply catering for the day - with their unbelievable burgers and sausages on offer, you are in no doubt going to enjoy every mouthful. Then, for dessert, you can wander on over to the ice cream van, grab a 99 with a flake before heading back into the bar for another ice-cold beer or glass of wine.
Finally, want to raise a little extra money and win some cool prizes? We will be raffling off a Signed Beno Obano Bath rugby Shirt, an England replica match shirt and a few other little prizes. Buy your tickets throughout the day and the Raffle will be drawn during half time of the England game.
What are we doing all this for? The Firefighters Charity! They are an amazing charity that support current and retired firefighters and families though all challenges in life. They have some excellent rehabilitation facilities where firefighters can make a residential trip to help with injuries, with mental health and well-being, and suicide prevention being only a few of their key working areas. See you on Saturday ?
