We would like to take this opportunity to thank Sam for the effort he put in whilst wearing the Bangor blue and to wish him very well on the move to the Anglesey side.
When we spoke to Sam regarding the move he felt it was the right time for him as he wanted a fresh challenge and to get more first team football under his belt which he has found difficult over the last few months with the upturn in form.
Sam is not the type of lad that is happy sitting on a bench and watching others play. Hats off to him, he wants to go and test himself elsewhere. Nothing is guaranteed of course. However, he is familiar with a number of the players at Holyhead and feels that will be the place where he can kick on again and make a real impact.
When speaking to Holyhead Manager Daz Garmey he was very excited about the opportunity to work with the former Wrexham & TNS youngster. Daz is someone that knows the club, the academy and the players very well here at Bangor as he coaches in our academy himself as well as Holyhead full-back Dan McGuinness.
Forming good relationships with other clubs and managers is very important at any level and we are no different.
Holyhead is an excellent club with really good people and this opportunity for Sam couldn't have gone any smoother.
Best of luck for the season.
