City welcome Gap Connah's Quay to the Bangor University Stadium this Tuesday, 22 September, for Game 6 in the Dafabet Welsh Premier League.

Much like City so far this season, the visitors have endured a difficult start to the campaign, but picked up their second victory by 2-1 at home to MBi Llandudno last Saturday. The biggest talking point, of course, will be the return of Les Davies on his first appearance back at Nantporth since his summer transfer to the Nomads.

Former Chester guardian John Danby has the experienced pairing of Kevin McIntyre (ex-Tranmere, Doncaster, Macclesfield & Shrewsbury Town) and George Horan at the heart of the defence with ex Rhyl & Cefn man Chris Rimmer another option. Summer recruits Michael Wilson and Paul Linwood and recent acquisition from Colwyn Bay, Wes Baynes (ex-Wrexham), complete the defensive options. Another former Citizen Callum Morris features in midfield alongside ex-Tranmere & Chester player Danny Harrison, and the lively winger Sean Miller. Attacking options see Davies supported by former Rhyl man Ashley Ruane, and another ex-Wrexham player in Nick Rushton. The latter has previously featured for both Newtown and Airbus in the WPL.

City, on the other hand, could be without the services of the tricky Christian Langos who may be rated doubtful following his injury at Bala last Friday. Sion Edwards also endured a knock during that game, but manager Nev Powell will be optimistic about the winger starting what will be a record breaking 275th WPL appearance for Bangor City. Powell has other options in the shape of Chris Jones and Wrexham loanee Joe Williams should either of the latter fail to be fit in time. The manager's biggest concern however will be his side's habit of conceding goals in the closing stages of matches this season, a statistic that has cost them dearly in four of the five Dafabet WPL fixtures played so far. Hopefully, City can redress the balance against the Nomads and repeat the level of performance that served them so well at Airbus recently.

Tuesday night's match will be the first of two tests in four days for the Citizens as Aberystwyth Town will be the next visitors to the Bangor University Stadium on Friday night (25 September).
