We are currently in the process of putting an exciting project together. The aim of this is to engage children aged between 6 & 11 years in the game of Rugby League.

This will run over two phases with the first phase beginning on the Thursday 3rd April at Dallam Playing Fields on Longshaw Street. This session will run continually and will be aimed at recruiting the player and coaches who will then go onto form the playing teams. The sessions will be a fun and enjoyable of the children making new friends and also learning the skills to turn them into rugby players.

The second phase of the project will be to streamline the children into more specific age groups and then into teams. When they have become age specific teams they will then be coached by a qualified team of coaches and entered into the North West Counties junior league.

We really need the support of the communities where we are based to have any chance of achieving our goals and I am sure that you can see the benefits that this project will be bring to your community. To this end we are need of volunteers to help us do this and there are plenty of diverse ways of getting involved.
