Before Wivenhoe could regroup Side made it 2-0 on ten minutes. James-Akerele grabbing his second goal withna nice header from a corner.
Incredibly just two minutes later 'Side won a penalty. There was only one man to take it and James-Akerele stepped up to put the spot-kick home, grabbing his first hat-trick for the club in a memorable six-minute spell.
It was 'Side's second hat-trick of the season, following the one scored by Dan Jones in a 5-0 home win over NW London on 15th October.
With 'Side 3-0 up at half-time, General Manager Steven Le Sage was able to make changes with Melih Saglam, Ashley Wackers-Kyriako and Jonathan Ogunsanya coming on from the bench.
No further goals were scored in the second-half, although Wivenhoe came the closests to scoring but a 40-yard lob from John Thain struck the bar and came back the right side of the goal-line for 'Side.
In the end a great win for 'Side who moved up to 12th in the league table, with the win being the first time in the league Le Sage's men have secured back-to-back wins.
