Side Start League Season With Defeat

David Laird opened the scoring for 'Side on 17 minutes only for the hosts to go into half-time 2-1 up thanks to goals from Lindsipho Mytanda and Chris Stevens.

After the break forward Luke With was sent-off on 53 minutes before Ilford wrapped up the game up with three second-half strikes from Elias Amar Tackie (2) and Justas Paliulis.

'Side are back in action on Monday night when they host Ryman North opposite Brentwood Town at Cricklefields. Kick-Off for that match is at 7:45pm.
