Side Edge Past Barking
Barkingside beat Barking 1-0 at Cricklefields on Saturday to make it back-to-back wins in the league this season.
Tyrone Scarlett's goal on 8 minutes proved to be enough as 'Side climbed up to 7th in the league table, whilst inflicting a first league defeat this season on Steve Willis and Glen Golby's team.
'Side had chances to make the win more comfortable but Barking, who finished the game with 10 men after joint-manager Willis was sent-off, were no pushovers and went close to scoring themselves. Former 'Side player John Bricknell saw an effort go close before keeper Jack Francis pulled of some nice saves.
In the end 'Side held on and can make it three wins on the spin should they beat Redbridge at Cricklefields on Monday night.
