Defeat At Uckfield

Following a nice journey to Uckfield in the sunshine, 'Side achieved their aims for the game, except for the result.

In a very competitive game, 'Side played some very good football in the first half, and looked like a united team, playing to a pattern of play.

'Side created three one on one opportunities, but unfortunately were unable to take those opportunities.

Half Time Score 0-0

Those misses proved to be crucial, as the effects of the heat, combined with changes early in the second half, resulted in a disjointed performance after the break.

Goals by Matt McClean and Callum Smith winning the game for Uckfield.

On the positive side, we now feel that by the time of our game against Hackney Wick next Saturday, our squad should have been finalised.
