'Side got off to a poor start conceding a goal after just three minutes to fall behind. A simple lofted ball over the top of the defence by Luke Stanley found Dwade James in acres of space. He coolly lobbed the ball home over goalkeeper Ryan Karrer and into the net.
Ryan Maxwell's visitors lead though almost was a short one, as minutes after conceding the hosts almost equalised. Stow had keeper James Bransgrove to thank as he denied 'Side's David Hornsby when the forward was through on goal one-on-one.
Down the other end Karrer made good saves from Samrai Gebrai and James to ensure the visitors only had a one-goal lead going into the break.
Gebrai started the second-half in fine-form seeing a cross cleared off the line by Derek O'Halem. Not long after that James, who was continuing to look dangerous, put in a great cross fro the left which Gebrai brilliantly met with an over-head kick which forced Karrer into a save.
Going foward 'Side were finding Maxwell's men hard to break. Their only real chance of the half fell to defender O'Halem who head a half-chance from a George Woodward free-kick.
The visitors finally doubled their lead on 73 minutes as Harry Watkins fired home a magnificent strike on the half-volley home from 25 yards. Karrer in goal was unsighted as the ball flew into the bottom corner of the net.
Two minutes from time, to make matters worse 'Side were reduced to ten men when forward Isaac Marfo, who had come on for Max Bolton on 72 minutes, was sent off for dissent.
Alex Goldstone's men are back in action on Saturday when they face Clapton at The Old Spotted Dog Ground. Kick-off for that match is at 3pm.
