Michael Walther's men put in a good performance as the sides shared the spoils.
'Side's keeper Mikel Breckenridge started the game well, making a smart save from Jamal Allen after a well-worked Hullbridge free-kick.
Euan Taylor-Reid then headed a free-kick wide for the visitors. Hullbridge's forward Jimmy Cox was looking bright and he saw two long-range efforts go over.
On 40 minutes Cassidy Okonkwo had 'Side's best chance of the half but the midfielder drilled a one-on-one effort wide, with only home keeper George Marsh to beat.
Hullbridge though would have the final chances of the half, with Michael Salako shooting wide before Luke Hornsley seeing his effort go over.
Moments into the second-half Breckenridge was forced into action, saving from Adebola Sotoyinbo as Hullbridge started well after the restart.
On the hour-mark, Hullbridge brought on former 'Side winger Aundre Spencer for Cox. His impact was almost immediate as one of his corners found Salako who struck a header onto the post.
Hullbridge were now looking on top with Sotoyinbo looking dangerous but 'Side's defence held true and backed up by Breckenridge held on to secure a fine point.
