Welcome Point At Hoddesdon
Barkingside secured a fine 1-1 draw away at Hoddesdon Town, as their losing run ended with a much-welcomed point.
Hoddesdon who went into the game placed fifth in the league standings, took the lead on 10 minutes through Harry Bushell.
Anyone thinking Michael Walther's Sky Blues would be a pushover were proved wrong as 'Side equalised two minutes later through Antione Akinola. It was the forward's first goal for the club in his only third appearance since joining in October.
Both sides pushed for a winner but in the end it was a point apiece at Lowfields. The point was Side's first since a 0-0 draw with Enfield at Cricklefields in August.
Despite that 'Side men remain five points off 19th placed Tower Hamlets, at the bottom of the table. They are next in action on Friday night at home to Woodford Town 2017. Kick-off at Cricklefields for that match is at 7:45pm.
