Izzy Ogedi-Uzokwe put West Essex ahead on 25 minutes. Hakim Medfai laid a fine pass from James Jewers into the forward. He shot against the post before tucking the rebound pass a bemused Ryan Karrer in goal for 'Side.
The hosts would double their lead aminute before half-time when Cameron Gray finished well, after good play by Jewers again in midfield. That ensured West Essex went into the break 2-0 up at Maysbrook Park.
Young Sam McNally was impressing for the hosts. A good run from tne 16 year-old found Emanuel Wazola, who calmly picked out Gray on the hour-mark to score again.
With defeat looming, 'Side to their credit kept their composure and grabbed a derserved-consolation on 72 minutes when Isaac Marfo stroked home a penalty, grabbig his fifth goal of tne seaaon in tne process. Sadly they couldn't stage a further fightback as they would fall to defeat.
'Side are in next in action when they host Hoddesdon Town at Cricklefields on Saturday 27th April. Kick-off at Cricklefields will be at 3pm, and it's hoped we can end the season on a high, which is what manager Alex Goldstone and the squad derserve after securing ESL survival.
