Side Beat Brimsdown In Vase Tie
Barkingside made it three wins in a row, with a hard-fought 1-0 win away to Brimsdown in the FA Vase First Round Qualifying.
After a goalless first-half, a strike on 62 minutes from defender Naseer Ishanzadeh proved to be enough to see 'Side through to the next round, in this all Thurlow Nunn First Division South (Eastern Senior League) clash.
'Side will now face another fellow Eastern Senior League side Cornard United away in the Vase. That Second Round Qualifying tie will take place at on the weekend of Saturday 25th September.
The Sky Blues return to action on Monday night when they host 4th placed Wormley Rovers in league action at Cricklefields. Kick-off for that match is at 7:45pm.
