Magnificent all round performance again, 4 - 0 home win against Nantlle Vale. Barmouth now up to 9th place.

All pre-match nerves dissipated as we saw the return of Elwyn Edwards back in midfield with a dominant Jonno Harrison playing in the middle of the back four. A Paul Lewis free-kick from the edge of the box after a quarter of an hour settled any nerves that the plethora of Santa Clauses in the crowd could muster. At the other end Nantlle Vale offered no real threat and the newly re-promoted keeper Llyr Hughes, had little to do.
The result looked in no doubt when Lewis held a defender off the ball in the penalty area to turn and shoot low for his second of the match just inside the keeper's far (left hand) post.
In the second half the game opened up and there were countless runs at and through the Vale defence by Chris Wilkins who has to be MOM on this performance, one of which found Carwyn Jones just outside the 6 yard box for 3-0.
2 minutes to go and Lewis made his hat trick with another of those tireless runs from Wilkins who found Lewis and he made it four with his trusty left foot.
The Magpies could have doubled their score in the second half with a number of chances; mostly from those Wilkins runs, missing their final target.
Still we'll take those 10 points from 5 games into the Christmas break (next game Llandyrnog away on January 7th), great to have Iolo Owen back on board and we all wish Adam Walters a great recovery for next year.
