We left it late but what a terrific end to the game as Jonno scores the winner in the last minute of the game.

For the third game running Dan Papirnyk had to make wholesale changes to his side and the Magpies eventually won a hard fought game. Important amongst these changes, saw the planned welcome return of Paul Lewis after his spell at Porthmadog.
Both sides started the game allowing each other plenty of possession in their own half, but quickly closing down the opposition when they entered the final third. After two minutes Llandudno were awarded a penalty when Steve Bratt pushed Joel Hewitt in the back. Up stepped James Hobson, but Darren Andrews in the Barmouth goal dived low to his left to make a stunning save.
In Barmouth’s next attack, Shane Jones was sent clear from a clever pass by Pete Griffith. Llandudno defender Jamie Jones clipped the striker’s leg as he was about to shoot but Barmouth’s appeals for a penalty were waived away.
Barmouth did take the lead in the 12th minute, Pete Griffith beating several defenders in the box before shooting against the post but Steve Bratt was on hand to guide the ball into the corner of the net for his first ever senior goal in his 99th game for the club. Llandudno almost equalised with their next attack; a fine left wing move created an opportunity for Joel Hewitt who was denied by an outstanding save from the confident Darren Andrews.
The home side extended their lead in the 38th minute through Paul Lewis when he shot past Paul Davies following a super move involving Pete Griffith, Craig Papirnyk and Shane Jones.
Then two minutes before half time Llandudno were handed a lifeline when Jon Sutton, trying to shield the ball out of play was robbed by Charles Kemp who squared the ball for James Hobson to drill the ball past Darren Andrews.
Within two minutes of the second half Llandudno were level, Ricky Jones sent over a left wing cross which the impressive Joel Hewitt met at the near post to send a bullet header past Darren Andrews. This signaled ten minutes of pressure on the Barmouth defence; Barmouth weathered the storm and began to create plenty of chances for themselves as the game began to get stretched.
Pete Griffith set up Paul Lewis but keeper Paul Davies smothered his shot, then Pete Griffith was denied by a last ditch tackle by Josh Jones as the forward was about to shoot, Craig Papirnyk then set up Shane Jones and again Paul Davies saved well to deny the Barmouth striker. Ieuan Brooks just on as substitute had a golden chance to score but shot wide of an open goal after being set up by the industrious Pete Griffith, then in the final minute Jon Harrison scoring only his 5th goal in his 129th outing for the club, secured all 3 points for the home side with a curling shot from 15 yards giving keeper Paul Davies no chance.
