There are four uncapped players named in the 15-man squad – one of which is Ben Sutton. Will Flynn who has also played for the Green in also in the squad.

England begin their tournament at Kidderminster CC on 5 August against Pakistan. On 15 August, England will play a Rest of the World XI at Blackfinch New Road. Those who were lucky enough to witness the three games between England, Pakistan and Bangladesh last year at the Green will know that the cricket is of a high standard.

Ben says
“I first got involved with England PD cricket following a conversation with Ian Salisbury (the head coach) when England played at Barnards Green last summer. I then was involved in the Lions squad last summer and in their training squad in the winter. I did my first main squad training camp in January and am pleased to have recently been selected as a member of the squad for the 6-team World Series in Worcester this August. Having gone from not even considering playing Disability cricket to being selected in an International World Series in the space of a year, I’m extremely excited and will be working especially hard to ensure I’m in the best position possible to earn selection to represent my country. “

Best of luck Ben and Will.
