had to get my cheesy strap line in ;)
After a postponement due to weather on saturday, we had a re arranged Prem A match for a training night - its not ideal as training nights are really for just that - training - and it showed in both teams really with sloppy passing and a lot of unforced errors from both sides.
after losing Sarah AGAIN this season - this time not to a baby, but to the other side of the world (when are people going to realise Australia sucks more than england?!) , we were put under pressure to try new combinations without having a training session first and unfortunately we put ourselves under unnecessary pressure.
We took the lead 11-8 in the first quarter but cobham pulled it right back to evens in the 2nd. We then held it to a draw going into the last quarter but it was far from ideal.
We took a 3 goal lead and then lost it again, with a last second penalty pass or shot to draw the game and more panic set in and we missed! heartbreaking but it was the errors made by everyone throughout the game that cost us the match. We need to learn to hold possession of the ball ladies. We know what we need to do. if anything , this was a great warm up match for saturday and we move into it with our heads held high.
Its a long season and everyones entitled to a blip now and again , its what you learn from it that counts! (cheese number 2)
