Strong start and a good result
Win against whitton
Saturday we played whitton after a back to back against them from the previous kingston week.
We started off the match extremely strong, working the ball up the court safely and taking the ball to goal , coming off 15-5 after the first quarter.
We kept the same intensity in the second and there were some great feeds between the two shooters into each other, keeping whitton working hard in defence.
Third quarter, since we still had the xmas break to contend with, it was important to stay focussed. They changed both their circle defenders which seemed to be to counteract our strong attack and it was effective, we had also made changes so therefore it took us a while to adapt but we were still up 38-25 going into the last quarter
We had a wobble going into the last quarter going 7-1 down but bringing it back to win the quarter 14-9 and the overall match by a convincing 20 goals.
We are getting our combinations working properly now and after a great training session mid week, im pleased to say it paid off - a solid win 52-32
