Last match of the season sees us playing Alpha on a very sunny day , however we moved indoors!
We were matching neck and neck drawing the first quarter 12-12 with some great feeds in the circle and scoring some great goals, we also let their attack come too close and they hardly missed

With a tighten up in defence, we worked as a unit to shut down their attack and made more turnovers in the second quarter but they also did the same and we were drawing 20-20 at half time.

They made a change in their attack which meant our defence was very effective in forcing their ball back to the line on a lot of their centres. The end of the 3rd quarter with 10 seconds to go, the ball was intercepted and came seamlessly into the goal circle with a last second (literally) goal by myself sinking it and coming off up by 5 goals going in to the last quarter.

Unfortunately, the alpha sideline of about 50 players upped their volume and we couldnt even hear the umpires calls, let alone think about sensible play. Once we tidied up in attack with Sarah staying put and thinking about sensible placement of the ball, we played a bit better but we let Alpha back in and ran out of time coming away with a 39-39 all draw

A great display of netball in areas though and a lot of mid court turn over before it got to goal which was great to see.
Finishing 4th in Surrey league is not bad but we know we are capable of better so next season, its on again to try to do our best and win this league
