We retuned to football today which everyone enjoyed. Thanks to all players & parents helping us to run Covid safe sessions at Barrowby.

The day many of us were looking forward to finally arrived today. All teams returned to football and we had a big turnout of players and parents in each team.

The Low Field looked very busy (but within the numbers permitted by the Covid guidelines) and it was great to see everyone there enjoying themselves even though it was bitterly cold.

Behind the scenes, we have been planning for this day for some time and we know everyone not least the children are ready for this!

Just a reminder of what we need all players, parents and Coaches to do every time they come to Barrowby. All the arrangements are very straightforward and mirror much of what we need to do in everyday life regarding Covid 19.

Before leaving home complete the on line Parent Consent form (which has been simplified) as we did last year and ensure your child has a named drinks bottle & hand sanitiser.

On arrival at Low Field social distancing is still required & the usual one way system to enter & leave the Low Field pitch areas will still be necessary. Keep to the left of the barriers please.

When you arrive at your pitch you will be greeted by your teams very own ‘Team Covid 19 Marshall’. This will be one of the other parents in your team who is helping the Coach organise and run a safe session/match for everyones well being.

You will see a mannequin positioned near your pitch area. On the mannequin is your teams NHS Test & Trace QR code** which we need you scan with your mobile device (we recommend you download the NHS Test & Trace app before arriving).

Sanitise your own hands and your child’s hands please - hand sanitiser will be available in the basket on the mannequin. We will also check your own and your child’s temperature - we will do this at training and home and away matches.

Whilst watching the training session or match social distancing is important and will be monitored. We ask that only one parent or guardian attends each session (for the time being) and that that person remains nearby please.

Everyone is enjoying being back at football and all these arrangements are designed to keep everyone safe. We ask that you support and follow these essential arrangements.

Please be aware that the Pavilion will be closed and we will not have access to toilets or changing rooms.

Attached is the Parents Covid 19 Return to Football information sheet which we ask you read.

There is a lot more information about Barrowby FC Covid 19 controls on the club website that sets out these arrangements and we recommend you familiarise yourself with these documents. They can be found at www.pitchero.com/clubs/barrowbyjfc under the ‘Barrowby FC Covid 19 Info & Docs tab.

** As a club, we are mandated to create Test & Trace records of who attends our events. NHS Test & Trace is the simplest way for us to do this and meets all the demands set upon us by the FA - we look forward to your assistance in meeting this requirement.
