Barrowby FC acknowledges its responsibility to safeguard the welfare of every child and young person who has been entrusted to its care and is committed to working to provide a safe environment for all members.

Club members working in eligible roles, with children and young people - such as managers and coaches are required to hold an in-date FA accepted Enhanced CRC with Barring List check as part of responsible recruitment practice - we monitor that everyone meets this requirement & ensure we comply in full with this requirement. In addition, everyone has to complete a Safeguarding Children FA course every 3 years.

We have a new Club Welfare Officer - Kris Sumner (that's her in the picture). Here is a bit about Kris:

I’m Kris Sumner your new Club Welfare Officer. I just wanted to tell you a bit about myself. I recently left the RAF after 22 years and now I currently work in a Social, Emotional, Mental Health school with primary and secondary children as a Teaching Assistant. I am the U14 teams manager/coach and have been for the last 6 years. I have a passion for working with children and know through my current job how important it is to safeguard children which is why I decided to take on the role at Barrowby FC to ensure it is a fun and safe environment for your child to play football in.
