“I am really happy to have signed for Barry Town. It’s an exciting club to be part of with a bright future and a structure in place to be a top tier club. I can’t wait to get started”
The club are delighted to announce the signing of attacking player Emily Bayliss who has joined the club following a transfer from fellow Welsh Women’s League club Caldicot Town.
Bayliss began her football journey in the female game playing as a junior for Llanyrafon AFC before moving onto Caldicot where she has played for the past 3 seasons. Emily brings experience of Welsh Premier League football where she was a key player for the Gwent based club last season and is has been in good form once again during the current campaign.
Her addition to the squad will be a big boost for the remainder of the season with the ladies competing on three fronts in the Welsh Women’s League and two cup competitions. On her move to Jenner Park, Emily commented; “I am really happy to have signed for Barry Town. It’s an exciting club to be part of with a bright future and a structure in place to be a top tier club. I can’t wait to get started.”
Barry Town Utd Ladies Manager, Luke Williams added; “I am delighted to welcome Emily to the club and her addition to the squad will provide further attacking options to the team. She is a player that can operate in both central and wide areas, has good technical ability with both feet and has a great eye for goal. She also brings good experience for a young player and we look forward to working with her and helping us towards achieving our aspirations in the coming years.”
Emily will join up with her new team mates over the coming days as the squad prepare for their Welsh Women’s League Cup Quarter-Final away to Splott Albion on Sunday 10th February.
