Hello everyone, if you are coming to the dinner then please pay £15 per person into the club account which is account number 00600806 and sort code 30-90-52 and put dinner on there so Ed knows. If you are not sure you can make it till the day itself or don’t have access to internet banking, then you can pay Ed on the night, but it would be easier if he didn’t have to carry lots of cash.
Also, if anyone has any raffle prizes they could donate then please feel free to donate. Wolfy and his family will of course be doing their usual brilliant job in selling the tickets on the night.

This year each of the three teams will have a batter, bowler and fielder of the year chosen by the captain. Most improved which has been decided by a collective decision by the committee, while Sooty has just been told to keep his Clubman. The duck cup will continue as will players player which is the only one voted on this year. Young player is taking a rest while Gerry will be given out a prize for his champagne moment which has been a very difficult choice this year due to a huge lack of champagne.

The plan for the night is roughly along these lines

Barnesy speech and welcome
First batch of awards and speeches which will be
Most improved presented by Barnesy
Sooty will make a speech and present his Sunday batter, fielder and bowler with their awards

George will then make a speech and do the same
The duck cup will then be presented

Food will then be taken

After food the president will give a speech and present the winner of the champagne moment
The tea ladies and men will be presented with presents of thanks for their efforts by Barnesy, so he can give his kisses

Furny will give a speech that may last 15 to 20 mins and he may, (still to be decided) give out some certificates to lucky people
Rhodri will then give his speech and give out his awards
Final award will be the players player will be given his award by the president
Lastly will be the raffle, please buy lots of tickets.
Hopefully this will all finish with plenty of time for chatting and mingling afterwards. Admittedly Furny may go on a bit with his speech but we don’t anticipate massive speeches.

This may not happen exactly as laid out above, and it is a bit of a departure from previous years, but we thought a change was worth a try. Hopefully, everyone will have a cracking night. At the moment, we have about 36 coming, so it would be great to reach 40.
