Barton 3 - 0 Stafford

Barton ladies hosted Stafford in a top of the table clash in which Barton came out on top to claim their rightful place at the top of the table.

The tempo started high with Barton making some excellent passing within the team to impress team coach Mark Moore. Hannah Smith was on fire and caused a lot of problems for the Stafford players. The top defence of Amanda green, Michelle Kinsella, Julie Manning, and the ever strong Racheal Slinn were as strong as always causing little for keeper Connie Wain to have to do.

The ball was passed around with what seemed like ease with Smith, Justine Woodcock and Lucia Gascoigne teaming up and distributing the ball out to Hattie Buxton, Robyn Welch and Rachel Haines, who could deliver the ball to Megan Jacobs.

Barton went 2-0 up with 2 fantastic goals from Lucia Gascoigne and Megan Jacobs.

Barton started the second half with Stafford making a couple of runs, but nothing that the defence couldn't handle. Another goal from Gascoigne made the score 3-0. A fourth goal was disallowed after being deemed dangerous, and the score ended 3-0.

At the league turn around point, Barton are sitting proudly at the top of the table.
