The 30-year-old defender arrives at Kirkby Road bringing a wealth of experience from both sides of the Atlantic.

A product of the Leicester City academy, King progressed through the Foxes’ youth system before heading to the United States to combine education with football at Young Harris College, where he made over 70 appearances for the Mountain Lions.

During his time in the USA, he went on to enjoy a successful spell in the USL system, representing clubs including Mississippi Brilla, Charlotte Eagles and Seattle Sounders FC U23, before stepping up to the professional ranks with Indy Eleven in 2019.

He would go on to feature for El Paso Locomotive, Colorado Springs Switchbacks, and a return spell at Indy Eleven, accumulating several seasons of experience in the highly competitive USL Championship. After nearly a decade in the United States, King returned to England, featuring for Redditch United and Pershore Town before making the move to Barwell.
