Jimmy Ginnelly reflects on our friendly with Nuneaton Town FC.

We don't look in too bad a shape
Jimmy Ginnelly

In what could be our last game against Nuneaton Town FC (fans have voted to return to the Borough name) the spoils were shared in a 3-3 draw that had the 300 plus crowd thoroughly entertained.

It was a chance for both managers to look at new players and trialists as well as checking on the fitness of those returning from last season.

Jimmy Ginnelly was positive after the match saying:
"I thought it was a very even match spoilt by some poor decisions from the referee. I'd like to thank both sets of players for putting on a bit of a spectacle for the 300 plus fans who turned up. It was a very good game of soccer. My thanks to Tommy for bringing an almost full first team squad first half, and they look pretty tasty for a new bunch. I can only see them having a great season down at Liberty Way. I had 5/6 starters missing and we still gave them a great game and I can only say we don't look in too bad a shape ourselves, but as we all know in football it's a funny old game."

Barwell meet Solihull Moors on Monday evening (10th July 19.45) in what promises to be another tough encounter as preparations for the new EvoStik Northern Premier League season continue. Admission is £6 for adults and £4 for concessions.
