Young goalkeeper Oliver Basey has joined us from Birmingham City on loan ahead of our game with Royston Town tomorrow.

Oliver Basey signed as a first-year professional with the Blues in July 2021 after a successful trial period.

Basey then progressed through the youth set-up at Sunderland prior to moving to the West Midlands and was a regular for the Black Cats in the Under-18s Premier League.

Before joining Birmingham permanently, Basey kept a clean sheet in Blues’ 2-0 win over Sheffield United in the final of the 2020/21 Professional Development League which crowned them national champions.

Basey has had loan spells with our league rivals Hednesford Town.
