Barwell head for Peterborough Sports for the very first time on Saturday 21st December. The game is weather dependent so please check before travelling.

The Turbines, as Sports are known, are playing at this level for the first time and are a club on the up. They currently sit 4th in the league after wins against Coalville Town and Leiston. They are currently the form team in the Division with only 1 defeat in the last 6 games. They have scored the most goals in the Premier Division Central this season so far and have the best goal difference.

They became Peterborough Sports in 2001 having been formed in 1908 as Brotherhoods Engineering Works. It was only in 2012/13 that they were promoted to the United Counties League Division One and have climbed the leagues since then.

Barwell come in to the game on the back of a 1-0 County Cup win over Shepshed Dynamo on Tuesday and a 1-0 defeat at home to Nuneaton Borough on Saturday. Barwell are 10th in the league and are 9th in the form table for the last 6 games.

Barwell will be without the injured Jake Whitmore as he begins his long recovery from his leg break.
