Basford Away on opening day,but massive home game to start Mon 19th Aug v Matlock Town

Basford are still waiting for that 1st ever opening day home BetVictor NPL Fixture after for the 4th season an away trip starts the campaign.

An identical start to last season sees Basford visit South Manchester to face Hyde United FC on their 3G. Last season the visit yielded a blank in a 0-1 reverse to a Chib Chilaka header then sent Basford home pointless after a close encounter. This time it marks the 1st game under new manager Steve Chettle, the club will be taking transport for this game and further details will follow. Great news for United fans as a massive home local Derby will kick off the home campaign as Matlock Town will make the journey to Greenwich Avenue 48 hours later on Monday 19th August 7.45pm. Basford will face a Matlock side under a new manager in Steve Kitrick in what is sure too be a titanic encounter.
Scarborough away on Tues 1st Oct kicks off a titanic 2 weeks with visits from Buxton,Gainsborough, Nantwich & daunting trips in addition to Scarborough away to Morpeth & FC United. Bank holiday clashes this season see United away on August Bank holiday too Grantham Town, & Boxing day we will travel to Mickleover. New Years day reverse fixture v Grantham Town at Greenwich Avenue.
