A young Lutterworth outfit were good value for todays victory today by 3-1.

The young home team showed really good desire in this one and some clinical finishing, but in truth they did,nt have to work hard for the goal,s as Basfords leaky back line made it 9 goals conceded in our last 2 league outings. Basford should be dissapointed with each of the goals conceded today as all had the opportunity to be cleared and the 2nd and 3rd goals were both so avoidable and stem from a distinct lack of concentration in crucial areas of the field. The 3rd goal was very frustrating as getting ourselves back in the game at 1-2 with 20 minutes to go it was a killer blow. Some of our back 5 with the exception of Ashleigh Dyce need to get back the basics of defending and clearing the ball as we will only tolerate so many mistakes. To cap a bad day at the office Basford all over the park looked lethargic and demonstrating all the trademarks of after the lord mayors show. Even so Basford created enough chances to win the game but all too often were let down by sub standard finishing or an unkind bounce of the ball.
United need to regroup as otherwise we will be known as a team capable of beating anyone on the day but not capable of maintaining a level of consistency.

Special credit to Lutterworth a great advertisement for a progressive ground and one that bears the hallmarks of where we want to strive for in terms of facilities and entertaining.
