Salisbury Festival

On Sunday 21st October the under 8’s went to Salisbury Festival. We had to park at the park and ride and then get the bus to the ground. The weather was a bit sunny and a bit cloudy but there was no rain!
Our first match was against Llantwit Fardre, a team from Wales. We had to do a lot of running but we scored 4 tries and they scored 3. Then the next game was against Andover. It was tough. Our tagging was good but we lost 2-6. After that we were up against Salisbury. Our defence was straight and covered the whole pitch but they got through 4 times. We scored 5 tries. The last game in the pool was against Oakmedians. Our running straight got better and nobody stepped out of the touchline. It was 4-8 to Bath.
We won 3 games and Andover won all of their games so we came second in our pool. We went through to the plate final up against Bournemouth. We got knocked but we passed into space and scored some good tries. Ralph scored the winning tri otherwise we would have drawn. We were happy to win the plate.
